Gender Scan

The day was finally here... we were going to find out what our little love bug was! I was only 15 weeks pregnant at the time and everyone thought I was basically crazy for paying for a 4D ultrasound to find out the sex of baby. I just couldn't go another minute not knowing.

On April 20, we had our long awaited 4D ultrasound appointment. I say long awaited because I made the appointment when I first found out we were finally expecting. I was only 15 weeks at the time, but Tyler's mom was going to be in town that week, so I figured it was the perfect time to do it. Along with Ty's mom, we invited Ty's dad, my mom and dad, my grandma, and my 92 year old great grandmother.

The facility was nice, homey, cozy, and had extremely friendly staff. The room we were in was big and everyone fit comfortably. It was equipped with a comfy bed, a couple couches and two big plasma T.V's. Shorty after we got situated the tech came in and started the ultrasound. All of our hearts melted when we saw our Love Bug's face.

The baby was being shy and wouldn't let us get a picture of his/her face at first, but then we captured this beautiful photo.

Then it was time to find out if we were going to decorated pink or blue. This little one definitely takes after mommy because he/she was being extremely stubborn. The baby would not uncross his or her legs. The baby was sitting Indian style with his/her feet right in the area we needed to see. The tech tried shaking my belly to get the baby to switch position and that didn't work. I ate chocolate, tried walking around, did hula hoops, bent down and touched my toes (totally not joking) and this little bugger still wouldn't move. Finally after more shaking of the belly the tech finally got the shot we needed and our little one is a.....

GIRL!!!!


Tyler was a little shocked because he was so certain it was a boy, but he is very excited about having a sweet little girl. We took a family photo and then all went out for lunch to celebrate.
