Almost Baby Time

Hello my dear followers :) I'm sorry for being a slacker and not keeping you updated, but to tell you the truth... there wasn't much to report.

The injections are going well. Let me tell ya, there isn't one thing funner than poking yourself multiple times every night. I got quite a bit of bruising going on, but it's okay, anything to get pregnant. Haven't really had sickness this time around, just head aches (more like migraines), hot flashes, and fatigue. I think once pregnancy does happen for me, I'm going to be a pro at handling all the symptoms ;).

Appointments have been going okay. My ovaries are HUGE and responding well. My left ovary is once again being stubborn and behind my uterus. Dr. Miracle hasn't been able to get good pictures of it because he has to do a lot of pushing and with my ovaries so big... it's very uncomfortable. He counted 7 follicles on my right ovary. I was hoping for more, but anything is better than nothing.

My egg retrieval is scheduled for Thursday morning (1/20) at 10 a.m. I feel like a little kid counting down the days until Christmas. I just have a really good feeling about this one. I just pray Dr. Miracle retrieves a lot of eggs.

As of right now, embryo transfer is scheduled for Sunday (1/23). I can't wait! Tyler and I discussed transferring three embryos. Yes, we will have a chance of triplets, but the chances are very slim. We will make the final decision on Sunday morning.

Dr. Miracle, Nurse Awesome, and I also discussed bed rest. After IVF 1.0, I was on bed rest for 10 days. It was the longest 10 days of my life. My mind drove me crazy and played tricks on me. I think being on bed rest actually made me loose hope of a successful cycle. This time around I'm only doing two days bed rest and then returning to work light duty.

I'm full of excitement and hope. I just pray this one works and in 38 short weeks we will bring a beautiful baby into this world. Keep us in your prayers, we need them.
