Goodbyes Are Always Hard

On Sunday (2/27), we had a follow up appointment with Dr. Miracle. The bleeding was starting to taper off, but I was still concerned because I was having a lot of cramping. We were definitely reassured when we saw the ultrasound. The baby already looked so much bigger and his/her heart was beating strong. We also found out that we would not be returning back to see Dr. Miracle. He felt his work was done and we were ready to be released to a regular OB. This was a very bitter sweet feeling for me. I was extremely happy that we were being released because that meant that I was finally pregnant and both myself and baby were healthy, but on the other hand I was sad to be leaving the office. For the past year the amazing staff at Dr. Miracle's office held our hand through all the devastating and heart breaking failed procedures. They helped us through the ups and downs of infertility and sympathized, supported, and cheered for us among the way. Dr. Miracle referred us to a OB that he highly recommended and Sweetheart made the first appointment for us. We said farewell to Dr. Miracle, Nurse Awesome, and Sweetheart, but promised to return when our sweet, precious miracle was born to take pictures for his or her baby book and of course to show off everyones hard work. As we pulled out of the parking lot, I shedded tears. We were finally in the homestretch of our dream, we did it, we are finally pregnant.

I'm extremely grateful for the entire staff at Dr. Miracle's office and will miss them dearly.
